AOL Special: Crime

MORE than 7,000 suspected paedophiles living in the UK have reportedly been caught in an FBI operation into internet child pornography.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the British suspects used their credit cards to gain access to two websites seized by the US authorities.

The suspects registered with the pay-per-view websites between May 1999 and September last year using email addresses and credit cards.

The newspaper reports the FBI seized the website database in October and has already raided the homes of hundreds of subscribers.

It says British detectives are planning similar raids after their US counterparts handed over details of 7,272 suspects in this country.
