Today some Priest of the
Roman Catholic Church,
with their own nature inclined to evil,
so that the flesh lusteth
always contrary to the Spirit,
this infection of the lust of the flesh,
sensuality, affection and desire of the flesh.
A Monk named St. Francis was from Florence Italy and to help him stop thinking about his urge's of his flesh,
made up this paryer to God, because St. Francies wanted to live in abstinence, or continence a self-restraint, moderation, partial or complete abstention from sexual activity, to help him stop thinking about his flesh urge's.
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change and the carriage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the differents, Amen"
There seemed such a balance of seriousness and levity with an overpowering sense of serenity, inner peace, great content, to feel good, joyful and blissful.
