this is a healthy sign. sorry about the circumstances that triggered your crying - but glad you were able to feel and express that grief.
i have found that "we" often are able to empathize with others in their pain more readily than to feel the pain that we rightfully should be feeling for ourselves. somehow we think we don't deserve to receive sympathy or compassion from anyone - even ourselves.
it won't be long, i'd guess, until you are able to feel the appropriate emotions on your own behalf.
