My life it seems is often an attempt to sort the good from the bad things in the past. Sometimes I get so triggered and angry by things...but occasionally I'll stumble on something that triggers me in a good way.
This is one of them:
It's a Tracker skateboard like I had when I was 14. It's a warm sunny summer day. It's a time when things weren't necessarily 'OK', but improving. I was acting out as a skater kid I guess...bowl cut, cut off khaki shorts and a Gumby T-shirt. It was the 80s, and lots of kids did that didn't they?
"His voice rose under the black smoke before the burning wreckage of the island; and infected by that emotion, the other little boys began to shake and sob too. And in the middle of them....Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of man’s heart…”. -----William Golding
