just finished a great read - a powerful memoir called "Jesus, my Father, the CIA and Me" by Ian Morgan Cron.
his father was an alcoholic and in the CIA - also physically abusive and a Narcissist.
he struggled with depression and alcoholism and faith.
told with humor and style. i gained some really good insights from it.
i highly recommend it.
"the scariest thing about abuse of any shape or form, is, in my opinion, not the abuse itself, but that if it continues it can begin to feel commonplace and eventually acceptable."
- Alan Cumming, "Not My Father's Son"
