Adrift, moored to nothing,

listing gently
I loll in the pool,

back arched, nose like a reed,
sound becomes weightless
with my heels

held like Achilles
I let go, fall without form,
look up to the mirror-distorted
surface and dissolve.

I am free from
double-crossing flesh
and bothersome need.
No outside, no inside,
no then but now.

And let the darkness fear our light.
