Hi everyone,

I was just wondering who has some good New Year's Resolutions for 2014. For myself:

1. Keep healing at my own pace. Make progress on it but don't force it.
2. Keep up the physical exercise, including at least one 5k this year.
3. Find more ways to build relationships with people I can trust.

What about you? smile

Nice topic!
I'm not the biggest fan of such resolutions as it seems that I'm not good in keeping it and it can be frustrating, lol. Never mind let's try making things work better this year wink

Here are my resolutions for 2014:
1. Testing my comfort zone when talking with other people and challenging it on daily basis - I need to learn more how to break my isolation.
2. Finishing half marathon race - I'm already in preparations and exercising program. Working on this goal is something that gives me chills and making me hungry of success. I've already broke some internal insecurities and made huge step forward. It is silly but I wore tights no matter on my anxious feelings when felt exposed. After that I've felt confident and free of fears - this is huge achievement, so everyone put on tights and run, lol!
3. Keeping up my plan/framework: trying to have more sleep, less internet, kicking laptop out of my bed, watching less porn, and regularly checking status with these tasks...

My story

1) My T wants me to journal

2) I need to start counting calories in food. Maybe this can be combined with 1) above

3) I need to practice my horn daily

4) I need to exercise 3 or 4 times per week

Hi All,

I found some more. These are from Kent M. Keith, The Silent Revolution: Dynamic Leadership in the Student Council, Courtesy of Bits and Pieces (quoted in an emailed newsletter I received recently.)

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for the underdog anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

And one from me: The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco doesn't evaporate every time the fog rolls in. It's still there, in all its glory. You just can't see it. In the same way, all the progress you've made, the friends you have, and the things in life you cherish don't go away just because you can't see them from time to time. Remind yourself of this truth when you need to.
