Hey Don,

No forgiveness necessary and I definitely didn't take your words as a punch. I just wanted to say something and I didn't know how to word it. We both learn to live with each other without a battle which is the right thing to do and I think we came out smelling like roses. For the most part we all belong to a brotherhood, a brotherhood that is based on pain and all sorts of fucked up issues that we have acquired because someone needed his jollies.

Now that the subject opened up I do remember the shepard case. It was awful but not surprising in what part of the country it happened. But then again something that was closer to home was a guy who was murdered on the corner of 6th Ave. and 8th street where I unfortunately lit a candle for him. It was only 3 blocks away from where I lived with other kids that were being pimped starting some 48 years ago.

He was murdered for the same reason as Shepard but only it was now in my backyard. That caught me by surprise because the village is known for a safe haven for gays as opposed to other places.

One famous place The Stonewall Inn was the site of riots that was the catalyst for the gay revolution around the country.

As a kid I used to buy drugs from guys there and of course I looked and was too young to go in so me and my friend bought from people in that neighborhood and outside the bar. I used to get pimped across the street in the Christopher street parklet but not by gays but by hetero pervs. I was in the USAF when the riots happened in '69. Organized crime owned the skin trade and the gay trade with the help of the Catholic church. I was indirectly associated in some way with those organizations since I was a gay kid engulfed in the skin trade.

I thought that stuff was ending in the Catholic Church with the Pope being much more lenient about gays, celibacy and women in the church. But there is a case of a retired priest that advocates the "pray away the gay" idea and is coming to NYC to give a speech.

Similar thinking goes across all religious faiths. Gay is bad, gay is sinful, gay is not normal and will lead to fornication with animals. This is one point that bothered me was that as a ten year old and for the next 3 or four years me and a friend not from the city but from Long Island where my parents lived were used by two guys to get their jollies and have other's interested parties come to see two kids drugged out of their minds trying to outrun dogs before they were caught and used by those dogs. I thought that since me and my friend was gay that it was us that was to do the dogs and not visa versa. But I guess those 2 hetero guys didn't hear what the preacher said.

Peace, Rainbows, Love, Healing & Hope
Stick around, It will get better....🌹🌹🌹
