Quiet As a Scream

The sound of fear, unease, terror.
Tricked into keeping quiet
By words of love.
Knew it was wrong, but believed
What was said.
Tried to, and fought as well
When hurt, but was held down,
Pinned down,
Mouth covered so the
Screams couldn't be heard
Except by you as you
Hurt me over and over again.
Gagged, tied up, hurt
Over and over again.
Heavy and labored.
Trying to pull in air
Through the pillow over
My face, held down
As you tried to kill me.
The child I was became.
Seduced, tricked, beaten, hurt, violated.
Shut down, a stranger to myself.
Forgot you, when you hurt me
Again. Didn't fight.
Knew it was useless, but
You bound me and muffled my cries
Again, with cloth
And water, rushing water.
I was a robot and just
Shut down.
And was set up for another monster
Who hurt me and silenced my voice
Except for what he could hear
And enjoy.
The sound of a child hurt
By someone who said they loved him.
As the scream that wasn't heard.

Flashbacks this weekend, depressed.
Sorry. Had to get this out. \:\(

It's good to get it out. It expresses a lot of what I feel about unheard screams and silence that hurts. I hope you feel better for having posted this. It really does say a lot.
