Lonely one,
When the darkness comes
And falls on you so deep,
It is your journey into the night.
You are so very far away,
And I see you struggle,
Your heart I know and love,
I pray for your Shadows to fall away,
You are tired, so very tired.

You are coming home,
Your lonely path winds on and on,
A guiding moon shines down on you,
And your Shadows fade away.
Hope rising in you,
Your home fires are burning,
Run, run, run on your path,
You are coming home,
Lonely one.

I really liked this bit:

Hope rising in you,
Your home fires are burning,
It reminds me of coming home in the winter time when I was a kid. There would already be a fire burning in the fireplace, or my Mom would ask me to go lay one for the evening. I used to like just sitting with the dog in front of the fire: her soaking up heat and me staring into the coals dreaming.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)

Beautiful image, Eddie. I think that image is in all of our dreams. Bobby

I'm healing now, and I wasn't sure I would.

You are coming home,
Lonely one.
I get a nice feeling of hope out of that line.
