There is turmoil in my heart
There’s a dark look on my face
My trust in her is torn apart
And my heart has picked up pace

There is blackness to behold
There’s confusion in my mind
A fear engulfs my soul
We’re way beyond ‘unkind’

There is no joy outside
There’s a guard inside my door
I’ve a wave of terror to ride
‘Til this night is no more

There is no place left to go
There’s a situation here
I’ll keep the noise here low
Try to make no sound to hear

There is crying in my room
There’s a sorrow in my breast
Out there may drop a boom
I’ll just stay here – that’s best

Money talks, but all it tells me is goodbye.

If I could meet myself as a boy...

To continue from another thread, for some of us there was no safety even in our own home. We built walls to try to keep us safe and all they did was imprison us in our lack of safety.

That's a powerful poem, Andy.

Thanks for sharing.

Lots of love,

"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy Shit! What a ride!'" ~Hunter S. Thompson

If we could all just join hands and hold all of the frightened, sad little boys in the world, and make them feel safe. Love you, Andy Bobby

I'm healing now, and I wasn't sure I would.

That's powerful bro – that's Little Andy responding to the terrible danger and hurt he has discovered in a world he previously thought was safe.

Hold him and tell him it's not like that now. You will protect him and he can trust you. There are so many joys and experiences for the both of you out there.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)
