Laying Down My Blade

My blade is raised for the Emperor.
Only the Emperor can order me to lower it.
But who is my Emperor?
The one who gave me the blade?
The one who cut me with the blade?
The one who taught me how to wield it?
The ones who need its defense?
The ones who need my strength?
Such a burden, to wield this blade.
But it is an honor too.
I stand in the company of warriors.
They have wielded the sword, same as I.
They have suffered the responsability as well.
Perhaps it is they I should offer it to.
Since only they know when it can be laid down.
I humble myself before them, for they honor me.
And present them my sword.
They help me hold this blade.
And it's only they who can help me lay it down.
But not until I have served them as they have me.

Okay, a bit too inspired by "The Last Samurai," but you all honor me with your company, despite the pains of joining your ranks. It would be my honor to serve you as you have me.

Thanks Scot, the feeling is mutual. Sometimes we forget that we are indeed, honorable men, not merely broken men.
Broken is in the past, honorable is the present. I kind of like it better than broken--a lot in fact.

you honour me, and inspire me, crisispoint.
we take up our sword, together,
we fight, side by side,
and back to back,
in struggles and battles.
warrior, survivor, victor.
brother in arms.
