Okay, this is another version of Not Finished Yet.

darkness clouds my vision
as I try to find my way
through this maze
rage and hurt bubble in
this cauldron I keep inside me
waiting to implode
destroy all the scars and scabs
that hold back th epus and maggots
and the waters that keep in check
the flood that is waiting deep inside
to engulf the catalyst of hate
praying to Saint Anger to abandon me
and let happiness seep through the cracks
and holes that have been eaten into my core
I want to have the stereotypical joy and rainbows
and little bunnied hopping through the meadow
and innoncense of youth
bu that was taken from me by force
why was I a target of malevolence
what did I do to earn the damage
that was doled out by a demon
I hid inside my head
divided my psyche into parts
tried to be what everyone else wanted
ignoring who I really am
I was a husk of a human
hiding inside the mess I let myself become
dreaming for the day I would lose it all
and leave my shackles lying in the dirt
that I wiped off the bottom of my soul
then I would be clean and could run thread
into my mind
get all the avenues connected
into a structure without great synapses
that would flow smoothly without
bumps an dpitfalls to burden my life
to not keep me hiding in a closet crying
for God to come and take me away
to heaven or anyplace
that has no pain
then peace could enter me
I can finally find my happiness

Can't promise you no pain, at least on this side.
But, I can promise you some peace and finding some happiness, when the light finally breaks through.
This poem is a powerful journey and arrives at a place that we all hope for.

"No soul is desolate as long as there is a human being for whom it can feel trust and reverence."
George Eliot
