Exhausted from analyzing feelings
Must let go of past scarring attacks
Which made me one bewildered guy
Always in fear of pain and pleasure
Plotting at times to castrate myself

Shame covers me up until this very writing
Wishing at times I didn't feel the chains
Locked in place around my perplexed penis
Standing in terror even at a mirror
Wanting to just forget desires I have

Covering my body, mind, soul, and heart
The effects of abusive holds firmly grasp
Facing the fact that my scars attest truths
Which I must never hide again deep inside
For their release is vital for my survival

Enough tears have been shed trying to heal
Bringing resurrection to an area slowly dying
Too painful to fully describe in words
The thoughts of many sleepless nights
Revisited again as my living monsters control

When all is brought out into the open
I must move on with my gathered strength
Letting go of what keeps me imprisoned
Hurting only myself in a dank dungeon
If I remain where I have been for years...

For living my life as a positive entity...

Whoa. Naw, this doesn't apply to me does it now?
Could be.

John Ireland--what a powerful piece of writting. This brings up some feelings of the past that I want to forget, but ends with the important truth that we have to move on and we are the ones who do that.

I hope that you write more. Your insights and way of expression gets to the soul better than many hours of living with wonder and fear and hopelessness.

Thanks for writting this.
