Hi this was something I wrote in highschool.

One child quietly walking the halls
One child silently praying for help
One child secretly crying out in pain
One child still looking through the windowpane

One child wispering runes of protection
One child learning how to fight
One child chiding himself for not being stronger
One child crying through the night

One child who cannot sleep
One child not to be heard
One child waking at phantoms
One child so deeply scard.

One child barring witness
One child barring all the pain
One child screaming in the darkness
Just wishing it would all go away

The pen is mightier than the sword. You certainly wield a mighty pen. Just two nights ago I was
"Just wishing it would all go away" out loud.

Thanks for sharing this with us.
