There are 'These winds of never', they just blow apart our souls
They tie our hands behind us, from where, whoever knows
They leave us trampled, broken, like confetti from on high
We fall on distance parcels, though we try and try and try

It started when we knew, very little about life
not of the toils and hardships, or other things of strife
it took away an innocence, that certain very day
and reinforced itself, as they'd play and play and play

It seemed, for many years, that these 'winds from never' blew
as it wrecked all of it's havoc, upon me and upon you
when it tore apart our hearts, and then sent us to within
to hide away from everything, especially this sin

We fought to hide away from it, as it happened every day
so we hid ourselves inside us, made us never want to play
Did we bring these things upon us, made them master over we
or was it all because, they had it in for you and me

So we live our lives to some extent, to be sure as best we can
and we try to hide this screwed up part, again, again, again
But we're bent on self destruction, cause we hate ourselves so much
even though there's much to live for, our abuse becomes our crutch

We can't see past all our hardships, all the things that we could be
Looking through the winds of never, there's not much that we can see
We only see our weaknesses, they're compounded everyday
by all that we interpret, from what we hear others say

We bring upon us burdens, that we needn't have to bear
only because we're sensitive, and we care and care and care
We let these words upset us, till we fall against it's wall
these things that we interpret, they go round us till we fall

The winds of never bind us, to this most horriffic past
we're blown against it's wall, these winds they last and last
when we try to push against it, while this 'Wind of never' blows
it's these time's we could surrender, and say oh well and so it goes

we could really be defeated, in these winds that bring despair
then there wouldn't be each other, who could hear and who would care
there'd be no one to pull us, from the 'Winds of Never's' wall
and there'd be no one to hold us, and those others who would call

we'd end up like that confetti, blown way up into the sky
these 'Winds of Never'd' bind us, so all we could do is cry
so lets take these 'winds of never', and blow back into it's face
the winds of God's compassion, we could get to take it's place

Instead of 'winds of never', that have bound us all this time
let us take the love that binds us, and show others we are kind
together we can stand against, 'winds of never' as they blow
and blow a whole lot harder, winds of love that we do sow

to calm these 'winds of never', is our destiny to me
to bring us to a place, full of love's tranquility
and when we see these pieces, of us flying all around
let's scoff them up and hold them, tight, before they hit the ground

so no matter where we live, be it here or be it there
or who we wish to be with, in our times of great dispair
lets fight these winds of never, hold us tight amongst ourselves
till we find ourselves, in gentler winds, that God himself, expells

What a beautiful poem. Very inspiring. One to come back again and again. Thanks much for this bit of beauty.

If we do not live what we believe, then we will begin to believe what we live.
