Not nearly enough
Not nearly enough to say it all
Not nearly enough to dare to let it out

Now I'm him
New identity
New friends
New person

Now I care what they think

Afraid again
Afraid to say it all

Afriad of being stupid again

Thrown back a thousand years into me
I was gone for awhile
In him
He was free
I liked being free

Flying...sort of
Being me through him

And then it came
What? Here? Reality? Here? Pain? Here?

Then why
Why be here?
I have pain
Anytime I need it.

I have fear of being me
Of someone finding out I'm me
Of someone finding out about the fear
Of being me
Of not being allowed to fail
Of making a joke about it...when there is pain
The pain that he was right
That I am nothing
That I am me
Tiny me

And what he said was true....

I'm healing now, and I wasn't sure I would.

I can't put my finger on it but this one really speaks to me. It says so much and yet is so simple. I'm all torn up now. It is really good but I can't say why or how.

Bobby, set him free, his pain is gone, and NO, you are not tiny, you are immense and strong, be free, be strong, let the pain subside,

It's like me, trying to be invisible, wanting to be seeen but afraid if I were seen I would be rejected.
To your last stanza, that answer can only be yours. Don't let his voice be yours, find your own and grow from there. After a time you won't feel tiny anymore.
