YOU, as a female supporter and partner of a male survivor, are here with honorable intentions. Of course this forum is the place to ask questions, to ask for help in understanding, and to even ask for help for yourself, when dealing with one of 'us' gets too difficult sometime (as I know it does). Any supporter or partner, male or female, I think is quite welcome there, as long as their intention is to further understanding and support. When a 'partner' comes here specifically for their own self-serving purposes, however, and shows a great lack of respect for the feelings and concerns of the male survivors of this site, THAT is what I think offensive. YOU and several other females (actually, most of the ladies here) at this site are a great addition to the advice and insight here. Please try to not take offense, and please do understand that, speaking for myself only, I am not generalizing how I feel about ALL females and their presence here based on the behavior of a few. Just as female survivors realistically should not hate ALL men due to being hurt by one or two. But, unfortunately, such generalization will occur with some people. I am not one of those people. But I do with a place for MYSELF, and for my student, where we can come and feel safe. That is my thoughts.
Thank YOU, Kolisha, for your kindness and diplomacy.
