I need to apologise to all my friends in here. I haven't been on the board much in the last two weeks. I think I owe you an appology and an explanation about what has been going on.

Many of you read my post " Because I didn't say NO!";f=1;t=001576
and responded to it and I thank all of you for that. That was the start of my depression.

Then three days later I did the post "Seeing Ted".;f=1;t=001589

I was doing O K with everything but then My T canceled my appointment because he was sick. I had an hour to spare and checked out the a websight that someone suggested to me Advocate.web

I did a search for the word Presbyterian and found an article about several women that had be sexually assaulted within the Presbyterian church.
I broke down bawling my eyes out screaming That's me, That's Me, That's me.

Finally, the local church sends out a monthly newsletter. The current minister at the church ( the one who told me " that this is my problem ...... Deal with it" and threatened me with a slander lawsuit if I went public with my story") printed this statement in the newsletter.

Your Personell Department has been working on a policy that deals with sexual misconduct and harassment. This policy will also involve reporting any child abuse. We are working with materials written by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, The State of Wyoming, our Book of Order, our insurance company, Church Mutual Insurance and a policy from a church in Chicago. We hope to have the policy to our session in March. Once the session approves the policy, it will be distributed to all church officers, staffand volunteers. We hope and pray that it will never have to be implemented.
Where does he get off saying that he hopes the policy will never have to be implemented. It has to be implemented right now. And the policy will only incluce child sexual abuse. It seems that because I was an adult when Dr. Laughlin sexually assaulted me that it makes it acceptable or that it doesn't matter. When I meet people that I know from the church in public situations they look at me differently. I can only contact the church through my attorney and my attorney must contact their attorney. But, I know the way the rumor mill at the church works. I want the rumors to stop.

I have contacted my attorney .... but he has been in trial all week.

I'm not ready to give up, but I feel like I am beating my head against a wall. The church just isn't getting it. I am even wondering if my attorney is getting it.

Thanks friends,

Nants ingonyama bagithi Baba [Here comes a lion, Father]
Sithi uhm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion] (Repeat)

Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]
Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [As lion and a leopard come to this open place]

John my brother,

Your were missed here for sure, and I'm glad you're back; it's good to hear from you again whatever the circumstances, and know you're back getting & giving support just by being here. \:\)

The hypocrisy of the pastor of your former church really steams me, and I don't find the inattention of your attorney overly thrilling either!

Bro, your church didn't get it, and you got another church. If you don't think your attorney is getting it, maybe you can get another attorney.

I know that could be complicated. Just a thot. The important thing is do what you need to do to take care of you my friend.
