I'm scared. I've been on a new medication for a few weeks now, I've had no one monitoring it. No physician, therapist, or psychiatrist courtesy of the VA's jacked up ways. The side effects were super bad physically and mentally. It took over two weeks of making daily trips to the local VA before anyone would prescribe something to help with them. Still, I wasn't given any advice or alternative to the med. I don't know what it's all doing to me, it sure don't seem to be making life easier. It may be months before I get to see a doctor. I feel so disposable.

Have you looked up the listed side effects of the medication and compared with what you are seeing in yourself? It is good to gather as many facts as possible and bring them with you. Would you be able to see a doctor outside of the VA? Or is there any kind of E.R. visit available for someone with VA benefits?

Yes, I did. I read the paper and found even more online last week that the paper didn't mention. All this time I was wondering what was going on with me. The med has just done a lot of bad triggering things that I don't know how to really cope with. I don't want to post sensitive stuff on here but hope to maybe talk some in chat once it opens up to me. The med is supposed to be helping by now, I don't see how it is and it's really upsetting that I don't have a doctor. I've never been on a new med without someone watching over things.

I have to wait, the VA is all I got and they're now making me go through their "Choice" program, it could be months
