Not Quite Healed 40 Truths for male sexual abuse survivors. Not quite healed

The Kindle book is even cheaper. Even if you don't have a kindle you can get the app and download it to your phone or tablet or PC. I highly recommed this book. It has spiritual undertones but not over bearing at all so even the skeptic or non believers can gain lots of farsight and insight knowledge and wisdom and a better understanding of how to heal.

So far no, and if it did that would be a lie. I think the point of the book is saying to be realistic with our expectations of being "completely" healed. It's just not realistic. There have even been times in my life where it seemed like I had things under control but there will always be things that trigger or bring the abuse to the forefront, but how I manage them when they do determines the level of healing of where I am at. There are good days bad days there are even stretches of months and even years of
"being healed" but then I can have bad stretches and it feels like there is no healing occuring but I need to realize that when those times are happening those are just more elements I need to work on or through it to be healed in that area or maybe I am "not quite healed" in an area I thought I had been.

Life is the same way , I am continuingly trying to grow and learn and become better in areas I am weak in and I am never quite where I want to be. "Striving for perfection and if I fall short at least I fall short on excellence" ~Vince Lambarti

Thanks for the recommendation.

I got it on my Kindle and it is very good. I like to hilite the parts that are really applicable and i ended up with about a third of the text yellow!

One of the authors is the one who ghost wrote Ben Carson's biography. He is not only a great writer but a survivor who knows what he is talking about. His affirmations at the end of each chapter are also helpful.

AND THAT"S NOT ALL!

he also does a blog:

http://menshatteringthesilence.blogspot.com/

in fact, a lot of the stuff on his blog is a condensed version of what is in the book. so if you want to try it out first, that is a good way to get the idea of what it's like.
