How do you usually find out about research findings? (e.g., news websites, television, MaleSurvivor website, word of mouth, etc.)

It varies, and I caveat this with the amount of time I've been checking into information. I started my healing journey this past summer. Since then, most of the reading was from handouts obtained from my local Sexual Violence Center men's support group. Second will be Google searching info. about this trauma and ptsd treatment. Third will be MS, it took many searching efforts to find the correct Google key word string to find MS. Viewing endless articles, info pages, and other trauma sites along the way. When I found MS, I then started checking articles. I needed info. to choose my therapist. MS definitely helped. Perhaps the men more so than articles.

Generally I learn about research findings by searching the net. I found my initial support groups through a search--SNAP, Adult Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse and this site Male Survivor. I needed information to help process what I was living. Many different symptoms--dissociation, depression, flashbacks and PTSD. I knew little of their cause and outcome. I would read the research findings, I would read the articles and I would read the survivor stories. Talking with like men, survivors, has helped in ways I could not have expected nor did I expect there were so many like me.

I have never read any academic research related to male survivors.

I have read Beyond Betrayal, which led me to this board. I have used this board to find other resources that I would not consider academic research findings. Granted, I haven't been too active with the site. This is my first post. So I could be missing a good number of resources.
