Hi my brothers in recovery,
Tom E. here! I'm in recovery from sex abuse and bullying as a young adolescent, & sexual assaults at 19 & 20, as well as recovery from drugs & sex addiction. I'm on meds for depression & see a therapist.... & a lot of 12-step groups. I'm married to my man.. & live
near Orlando, Fl. Are there any male survivor support groups in the Orlando area? Anyway, love & peace to you all, Tom E

Tom, it's good to hear you're reaching out. I checked locally too. Found one, but, have not gone since early Nov. I got put off by a few things. Just enough that my gut feelings to the group needed a long time out. Maybe you'll find a better fit, and good sharing. I have definitely supplemented the lose of that group by spending more time posting here. Though, really, I post a lot anyway.

My first group was grouch a Sexual Violence Center moderated, short term start up. It was meant to help beginners. I really got a lot from that group. But no phone numbers, no connections. I wish those guys were in a group I could be in.

So, anyway, I am a believer in men sharing. Honest, get the feelings out, work efforts, support, listen, crying and cheering group. I haven't found one in my 2+ million metro Twin Cities, Minnesota? Seems odd.

Hi, Tom E. here,
I love that I don't have to keep my secrets that kept me ill in anymore, it sucks when you've blamed yourself for most of your life for being weak, a coward, yellow,a pussy for not being able to say NO to your abusers or fight back... it WAS'NT my fault for what happened, having trust shattered, even when I wanted it and it hurt, I couldn't speak up because their pleasure was more important than my pain.. .I forgive myself, and I forgive them (I guess)... Tom E.
