Went to the Memorial Day ceremonies our small community holds every year. Memories kept flooding back. Cried during the playing of taps. So many memories. I quickly retreated after that to the vehicle and waited for the others. I hope everyone else is doing well this day.

First time in years I did NOT attend the service or parade. Too many memories of scout troop and church participation in both with and by the Perp. Much better day this way. Dog and I did pay respects and visit memorials in two cemetaries. Managed to take Dad to the local Legion Chicken BBQ and back home.

Wishing you a calm evening Ia. You are safe now.
