Hope, it is a wonderful thing. It is really there.

I've always kept at least a tiny glimmer of hope alive cause when you lose that, it would seem you would be really lost. Sometimes it's like what happened to me is more horrifying now that I have some perspective than when it actually happened. My motivation is pretty much revenge which I know is a bad thing but if I end up in a fulfilling relationship it will be like HA you didn't beat me! I've always been a resilent person and hope is a big part of that. \:\)

Marc - hope is a fantastic thing to have...I hope that this is the start of a new dawn for you. Recovery is a wonderful thing - I wish you much strength along that path.

best wishes ...Rik

Hope is cool, I try to promote it whenever I can. Click my quote and see my story of finding hope.

Marc, God I'm glad you had the strength to post here! You are not alone...over 1000 men have disclosed their abuse to me in the last 20 now, I feel so fricken normal, it ain't funny!
To go from the lowest of lows (and I mean, as a teen it was hell), I can't tell you how much diffent my life is now. If someone would have told me then, I would someday be able to make people laugh and smile, I would have said they were crazy.
I have learned the hard way to live with my past AND live in the present.
You take good care....

Hope, it is one of the greatest things in the world, and one of the least understood. Hope and determination are what drive me every day of my life. They have for years. Hope for all of man/womankind and a better world, and the determination to make progress toward those hopes and make the world a little better.
