Hello, I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.
I was sexually abused from age 8 until about 14 by a neighbor and relative.
I have been in therapy off and on and am back on my meds and in therapy weekly now. I was a little reluctant to join, but I read through some of the posts and decided to try and get some support and maybe give a little back.
Thank you for the forum and all of the people that are survivors.
Your all in my thoughts during your recovery

hey dah
Welcome to MS. I am glad you are here but so so sorry for what brought you here. I need to say congrats on taking a BIG step in coming here. I have found AT LEAST as much help here as I have at therapy. we share so much as survivors that just is difficult for the untouched to understand. here our feelings are typical, usual, often, so many do that. here we are not shunned or avoided we are not unique or alone. here we are malesurvivors.
Either I will find a way, or I will make one.

Hello DAH,

I am sorry for your reason to be here, but glad for you to have joined us.

I understand the original reluctance as I felt the same way when I first found MS, but have since discovered that there is great healing in speaking our truth and receiving the empathy, understanding and support from only those who have also been abused can offer.

I congratulate you on your choice to heal.

Welcome and keep well.
Presence is the key, for all we have is now.

Welcome and you have come to a good place to help with your healing and recovery. I am glad you are seeing a therapist.

It takes time and support to move forward. Please continue and share when you are comfortable.

Welcome DAH,

Its always hard to disclose, even on-line like this. But many of us have found that the more you talk about it, the less power it has over you. I wish you well in your recovery.

Be well,

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
