I found this place and am glad to be here. It has been forty six years since my first abuse and forty more since the second and third. My new wife and friend has brought out through trust and understanding what happened to me. I had admitted this to only one other person. I have since told my family and ex wife what happened with mixed reactions. I have not directly confronted the one person I know who did this to me but will. I hope to heal from this and have taken steps to do so. I am reading talking but feel a group discussion really affects me the most. I will start here and move to a live group soon.

Thank you all for being here and I hope I can add something to our healing.

it is good that you have found us. you are not alone - but among those who understand. participate as you feel able. i am sure that it will be beneficial to you - as it has been for me.

Welcome to the site triumph! There are a lot of good people and resources here. A lot of them find great support in group sessions too, and I'm sure you can get some good information on that path to healing. I'm learning it really does get better too.

Welcome triumphj!

Nice choice of handles. You CAN triumph over your past.
