Hi Everyone. I've been here 6 days now and feel like I have found a home for the first time in my life. I had never chatted and never talked with another abused person before MS. I find myself crying a lot when online in gratitude. I'm 64 and have felt so alone my entire life. I didn't begin to remember my abuse until I was 53. I welcome the opportunity to get to know some of you, to hear your stories and to share mine with you. Thanks for being here...........Don aka don64

hey don
So glad you have found us here I have felt so much like you describe so many times here it is like I finally have people who understand and that is amazing. I hope that you continue to make yourself at home here. but most importantly that you can find a way to heal and be amazingly well.
Either I will find a way, or I will make one.

Welcome and I am glad you feel comfortable here. People are supportive, listen and encourage each other. You have made a great leap in healing--facing the past and the abuse. We all have our ups and downs. I have been encouraged by the progress I see in so many of the of the people who are here. It gives hope and that is key in our healing.

Welcome and remember it is important to feel safe--so post what you are comfortable posting. Wishing you the best.

wow, incredible story, don.

at 52 I am just starting to revisit my feelings about what happened to me sexually at a very young age. AGAIN.

this stuff is never truly settled permanently, it keeps resurfacing at the most peculiar times, and usually unexpectedly.

welcome to a place of sharing and venting of emotions.
hopefully you will find something of value for yourself in this exchange of words.

Welcome Don64,

There are many among us who lived our whole adult lives with the shame of being sexually abused as boys. Now in middleage or later, we're facing it all and realizing the depth of its effects on us. There is healing for those who seek it.

Be well,

I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories
