I felt much the same (though I didn't say anything, not being in a leadership position) at the neighborhood swimming pool once, when a few teenaged boys emerged from the locker room, shoving each other and laughing, and calling each other "Pervert! Pervert!" It looked like just juvenile guy-type fun, but all I could think about was what a REAL pervert had done to me. I quit the pool club after that.

You said what needed to be said; I would have done the same.

Most kids simply lack the cognitive skills to realize saying something like that is wrong. Even adults struggle with it sometimes. I would not worry about others "putting the pieces" together. My first thought was that the go-to reaction from others might be that you have a female relative who experienced this---as we all know---society still does not want to think it also happenes to males despite PSU

You did the right thing.

I've got this life
And the will to show
I will always be
Better than before

...cuddos, Davo. And thanks for helping the kids understand and hear from someone they look up to that rape is serious and its effects long-lasting. And if the numbers are correct, there were more than just you in the crowd who was triggered. Rape sucks.
For now we see through a glass, darkly.
