Since F&F are so frequently involved in reporting for or with the victim, you ought to know this:

This is an excerpt from a State's law (state not disclosed):
(1) [b]When a municipal or county peace officer receives a report concerning the possible abuse or neglect of a child or the possible threat of abuse or neglect of a child, upon receipt of the report, the municipal or county peace officer who receives the report shall refer the report to the appropriate public children services agency.

States hire the CAC (Child Advocacy Centers) to do the forensic interview work that the detectives and uniform cops are not in any way equipped or educated to do. in THIS state above, the Police entity is compelled to report any case to the CAC.
