Sara Ganim, now of CNN, said that Joe Amendola complained to the judge at the hearing today that he didn't have time enough to prepare for trial and to go through all of the documents and taped statements to defend Sandusky. However, when asked by the judge if Amendola would have done anything differently with more time -- Amendola said NO...

I figure they've calculated a strategy ahead of time behind closed doors. For one thing, they're thinking that the accusers will relax and not be ready for a protracted legal action. They also think that the press coverage will relax and they will have freedom to act without being disclosed.

Puff, you're probably right that it is more about looking for wiggle room without as much media attention or emotion.

But the whole point that Amendola "didn't have time to prepare" is horse sh*t on its face, since Amendola was Sandusky's attorney for something like three years before the indictment came down, as one learns from reading the Aaron Fisher book.

That should have been plenty of time to prepare.
