Just wanted to let you guys know I've started therapy with a new therapist. Seems like a compassionate guy. I have 14 indivdual sessions then I may be able to join a group that meets once a week.
Not sure what to expect but trying.
He gave me a book and workbook by Tom Wilken called rebuilding your house of self respect. Thought it may be worth mentioning.
He also runs a group called hope to silence project here in Canada and thats the name of the group I may be able to join.
Anyway just an update....Progress...Yay me!!

Yay, you!

It's a good step. Be proud of yourself.
But he grew old, this knight so bold / And upon his heart a shadow / Fell as he found / No spot on the ground / That looked like El Dorado.

Good luck--I have found therapy has helped me in many ways. I still have a ways to go after 17 months--but I have faced the abuse, the triggers and now I am learning to live--but there are still things to be addressed--but life is looking better. Good luck and I hope your experience brings you to where you want to get.

Good luck. T is a big help, especially as you are coming to terms with your abuse.

Best of luck with it buddy.
Ephesians 6:13

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
