I wanted to join Candeo some time ago, but I wasn't ready to do so. I bookmarked it in my web browser for later viewing. It is a paying service, and this made me a little nervous at first.
I learned quite a bit about sexual addiction. I can say that my porn addiction as well as my unhealthy masturbation habits stem from the abuse I suffered. I guess I always knew that, but I was not ready to deal with it. Even worse, I never really acknowledged I had a problem at all.
Very recently (last year or so), I started to realize the damage my addiction was causing. Consistent porn use since the age of 7 or 8 severely distorted my view of the world. I sexualized everything around me, and this caused a lot of emotional pain. I was ready to do something about it,and I joined Candeo.
The program is based on the behavioral therapy model. You are taught that sexual addiction is very similar to drug and alcohol addiction. The program is divided into modules, each one building on the previous section. I have been using Candeo for just over a week now and I feel it is helping. You are assigned a coach who helps you along your road to recovery. There is forum much like the one here, where you can discuss anything related to your recovery.
Candeo uses a system that has been proven to rewire your brain circuitry. You will learn to face your unwanted behaviors and replace them with something healthy and lasting. Honestly, when you have access to a computer (library or friend) do a search and you will find the information you seek. I hope this helps. Heal well friend.
