Hi, Guys.

I am realizing in a HUGE way I have a voice. You know how kids will just scream to be screaming. They are exercising their ability to scream but they are hearing themselves in a big way.

NOT only was I silenced during the trauma of the csa but my family especially my dad had a huge influence and how I saw myself and heard myself.

My dad would never listen to me. I felt silenced by him. I was told my dad had given my perp control.

I realize this now and heard it for the first time in my own mind a couple of weeks since it happened nearly 40 years ago.

I have my voice now. OMG this is so awesome but WEIRD.

I`m so glad you have found your voice DJ. At the same time I`m wondering if I`m not minimizing my own. S

Congrats Dj!

And you'll be amazed, surprised, and maybe even shocked by what you can say with your voice. I've been a little vocal myself lately at work. And its starting to pay off.

Here is a link to a site where I first saw the concept of "voice" discussed. Its a site about a film produced about abuse, produced by a survivor, and aired on PBS.

Thank you for posting the stories of silence link. Once again your digging up valueable info. Thank you and continue to do so, it benefits everyone. And let everyone's voice be heard once again.
