no words can express the hurt I feel,
it's like someone took a dagger,
plunged it into my chest,
and carved a chasm,
the length of my torso.
This void cut so deep,
that the tears from a
thousand angels could
not fill it up.

there is only one thing
that can heal a hurt like this.
love, pure unconditional love.
love from someone who wants
nothing in return but love.
it is not bound by how rich
we are, or what our social
standing is.
it is based on who we are
as a person.

i wish i could take her far from this place,
to leave all the worries of this world behind,
then i truly believe that her beauty would thrive,
and our love could be all that it could be,
and it would erase from our lives all the
hurt that we both have suffered.
and we could live in peace.

Kelly,

I think you are right. Seeing that we can both give and receive pure unconditional love does indeed have the power to show us that so many of the bad feelings we have about ourselves and our relationships with others were false lessons taught by abusers. It can show us so clearly the person we really are. Thanks for sharing this one with us.

Much love,
Larry

kellticwarrior,

I think you are exactly right. Unconditional love has a way of healing wounds no matter how big they are.

Love ya
Darrel
