All of my life Iíve fought hard
for the things I have wanted;
caught up in blindly believing
the strong will survive.

Here now in a new place
I see everything
I ever dreamed of
And I am afraid.

If I rush things, if I stand still
if I push too hard, if I look the wrong way
I just might bypass
what Iíve worked so hard for.

Itís easy to be strong
Iíve done it for so long,
but now Iíll have to remember,
this time to get what I want
I have to surrender.

Here I stand helplessly,
willing and waiting for more;
when want became need,
I had no choice at all.

What do I do now,
itís up to me now,
itís so hard to wait
but I will.

God grant me wisdom,
God grant me strength and the courage to simply stand still.

Itís easy to be strong
Iíve done it for so long,
but now Iíll have to remember
this time to get what I want
I have to surrender.

Here I am, take me;
please something save me
from a lifetime
of not being all I could be.

Itís easy to be strong
Iíve done it for so long,
but this time Iíll have to remember
this time to get what I want, this time to get what I need
Iíll have to be tender.

This time Iíll have to surrender.

Really decent writing, my man. On another subject, after reading your reposted story, your former username and those posts are still available using the advanced search function. I inadvertently found one of your old posts with your old username from last Summer looking through the history of an older topic. Just thought that you should know.

Hi Joel, my brother/confidant.

Wow, a very powerful poem, no doubt from the very depths of your soul.

Heal well my brother/confidant.
