Look at the boy, wide eyed and innocent
Begins a life of pain, something stolen and spent
In you we trusted, you were my mothers friend
I carry the scars, wonder when it will end

This little boys heart will cry no more
This wasted life will never be like before
Pain and betrayal, what else is in store
And in the end we cry no more

Look at this picture, sad sister and brother
We wanted protection, you wanted lust under covers
Sometimes late at night, I can still feel your breath
No one understands, there is no vengeance in death

This little girls heart can cry no more
These brown trusting eyes, wont see like before
Innocence is lost, emotions lay torn
And in the end we cry no more

Look at you there, accepting no blame
Sick little grin, you fuckin think its a game
Like a tornado, leave behind your debris
That you are a monster, we all can agree

When Justice is served we will cry no more
Hearts will heal up, but not like before
We look to the future, wonder what else is in store
But in the end, we will cry no more.

I can relate to the poem. I had to forgive my stepgrandfather who molested my two sisters and I for 3 or 4 years. Not to mention my mother and family for sweeping the issues under the carpet. He is dead now for over 10 years or so. I pushed him to treatments for heart failure and kissed his chest. He never ever said anything about the past. I was about 19 at the time. I am 45 now and trying to move on. I forgive but do not forget. I can look in the rear veiw mirror but must still drive forward. God Bless you, tim k

I was 7 when my abuser first came into my room. She continued using me for the next 2 years. She was like a mother to me and my brothers, my moms best friend. My uncle also abused me but thankfully he is dead. I stood on his grave a little over a year ago and even then I could still hear him. I guess somehow I thought that with his death, something would happen and I would feel better.. cleaner. Sadly I was mistaken. I am 43 now.
Thank you for your comments Tim. God bless you too friend.
