I'm very much a man and yet I also get emotional and sad. All men regardless if they had been abused or not go through this. The difference is survivors never had the opportunity to learn how to express ourselves in a healthy way. For what ever the reason we learned to suppress the pain, humiliation, of our abuse.

Even now while I'm typing this I felt sad and shed tears and had to stop until the emotions I was feeling subsided.

When you are feeling sad or emotional, embrace it, because your a man and you are starting to heal.
