Hey, I have shared in the past that my wife was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 6 years ago. She went back and became a product designer in order to create tools to help people with chronic illnesses. Her experience when first diagnosed was that all the products were designed with elderly people in mind. She was 39 - far from old.

In addition to the products, she has also been working with the chronically ill to help them modify mainstream exercise classes to fit with their contitions. She recently shot some video with a NIA instructor with modifications for people with chronic conditions. I will put the link below. I know it is not probably something most of us here would look for, but I thought people might know someone that might benefit. Plus, I'm super proud of her!!!
