I thank you for your story Juni as I have had experiences that I have kept inside for half a century. I am not sure if I am quite as ready as you to talk yet but I am talking at last to a Psychologist so I suppose that is a start. I didn't have a sadistic Uncle but did have a carer who did things and at 14 like you was accosted by boys from school.

Hey Peterwest,

Welcome to MS. As I'm sure you are beginning to discover, this site is a great asset to a guy who is already actively in some form or other of recovery. There is no one way to get well from male CSA and whatever it is you are doing for yourself right now is what you should be doing. Make sense?

The recovery process is not linear and while it is true that survivors share many commonalitities it is also true that each recovery journey is as unique as the guy who has been victimized.

So, Australia, huh? I've made a very good friend here at MS from Australia and watching him work his recovery process has been very inspiring to me. I know that over time you too will begin to make the same kind of connections with other men here - you are no longer alone!
