I cry every year in the Season of Joy
Because that's when I lost the little boy
I cry every year when others celebrate
Because it was that day that sealed my fate

Some decorate an evergreen tree
While I mourn the loss of the boy that was me
Some hang lights, colorful and bright
While in this struggle, I constantly fight

Santa doesn't come to such a bad boy
For this child there is no toy
Daddy told him he wrote the jolly old elf
And told him he'd give the child a gift himself

Did Santa make me, is that why I'm a toy?
Maybe I'm not real, not a boy
Such is Christmas, beneath a tree
I guess there's a gift, the gift is me.

Dim the lights and take down the tree
But the gift keeps giving, that gift is me
A favorite toy, played with every single day
I guess Santa sent me here to stay

Santa, I beg you
Take me away
Santa I beg you
Don't make me stay

I guess he lost my letter.

"I finally have my heart!"

To the perps: Don't worry about me coming after you. But you damn well better watch out for God! "Vengeance is mine", saith the Lord

Hi, Tinman. A very poignant poem. I hope you have some peace this holiday season, friend.

There is something about a poem that takes the thought and gives it feeling. And that feeling is all to familiar. Christmas was once very hard for me too, but I have learned to love it again.

Several years I posted my thoughts on christmas. If you like you can read it here. I found Christmas

So hang in there my friend, there is hope.

Love ya
