Sorry to hear that you had a tough day at work. I had lots of days like that at the factory back in Cleveland so many years ago. They gave me a hard time every time that I was late. The foremen were always cracking the whip. It is a tough job. Hope that maybe it will push you into trying to get an education, though a lot of office jobs aren't much better at the bottom.
My wife has summoned me to the bedroom and I had better get on with it. I will try to offer more later. It sounds like the factory management is getting on your supervisor and he is grinding it into everyone on the floor. It may be that you employer is having some financial trouble and they are trying to make excuses to get rid of a few people. This type of scenario happens fairly regularly at lots of factories. You try to make the workforce fear for their jobs. Money, power, lack of respect, and fear of loosing your job are quite common in the working world. That is why I like the trucking industry. Because I get to talk to my boss once or twice a day, usually on the phone, and most of the rest of the time I am alone or dealing with a customer.
Anyhow, hope that tomorrow is a better day for you. Better try to be on time tomorrow though. Not saying that to make you feel inadequate either. It will look better if you are there when the foreman walks by, and he will have less to bitch about.
