Your mother sounds very committed to ensuring that her version of your problem is the one taken up by the family. Wow. Talk about a propaganda campaign.

The answer to your question about what to do is only one you can answer...but one yardstick you might use to gauge whether or not to go is asking the question, "Will this experience further or hinder my recovery?" If the answer is likely yes, then I would adise not going. Family situations are so emotionally charged, so full of potential triggers, so many expectations and role playing involved. I would consider where you are in recovery and decide (perhaps with your T) if this family reunion is a healthy environment for you given your mother's antics.

I'm sorry your mother is behaving like this. It's clearly more about her than it is you. I dont' have any advice to add as the others seem to have covered it.

All I can say is - do what will make you feel comfortable and joyful.
