Welcome to Male Survivor. We are a group of men and teens in all stages of recovery from our shared affliction. It takes great courage to open-up and ask for help. Various fears, guilt, shame, dissociation, different personality disorders, an aversion to physical touch or issues with trusting others, and the effects of PTSD, are issues that are common in recovery. By ourselves, we have become withdrawn, often attempting to cope with our issues in a negative, avoidant, or self-destructive manner. Together on MS, in combination with individual therapy, and in support for negative coping behaviors, we have the best chance at effecting our own recovery.

Glad that you found us,

Welcome to MaleSurvivor to to our joint journey towards healing. The is much work to be done in overcoming the effects of sexual abuse, but the results are worth the effort.

Welcome to MS sunwolf! Glad you found us. Recovery is a lot of hard work but it is worth it and this site is a great place to talk and be heard. I've learned so much from the men on this site - it has been invaluable to me and my recovery. I hope you have the same experience.

Peace and love...

Sunwolf You have a nice screen name. I'm also glad you found us. I think you will find others here as well as myself who have felt much confusion and conflicting feelings and it's normal for survivors. At least that's what my thearapist told me some time ago and he was the best therapist I've had so I believe him.

Hi Sunwolf. Welcome aboard, get ready for the emotional roller coaster ride of your life. I am fairly new to this therapy part too, Yep we get numb, it sure hurts, but here you will find some peace from those whom are further along in their recovery and are willing to help those of us with our doubts, our emotions and just listen to us without judgement as they have been there too. For me it's been 55+years after the fact, and I'm still the boy crying inside. If you are interested you can go to my secret my story, and you'll see where I'm coming from. And while you are in this site you can go to the other my story pages, we are not alone as you can see from this page and we are dispersed throught the globe too. Hang in there Sunwolf. Heal well my friend.
