I wanted to let you know what this place has come to mean to me. The suggestions talk about concealing your id to a certain point so I used my Dog's name for my screen name.

Then I saw many of you signed off with your actual name and I found here I wanted the true me to be known. The funny thing is my whole life I have been David to everyone.

I know it does not sound like much but here it did not seem to fit, I wanted a better more peronal connection to my new friend here.

So now I am Dave, David has is not gone, but the true me is now Dave so that is why I chose it here.

Your rambling friend

Hi Dave, i'm glad you decided to use your real name, if it helps for you to feel more connected then that is good and i am glad you feel safe enough to use your real name

I know how important that distinction can be. I grew up Mike, but switch to Michael I as began the reclamation project of me. As Dave grows and David heals, we will be here to support you.

Peace and hugs to ((David)) and ((Dave))!

Hi, Dave, glad to know you by the name you're comfortable with here now. I've glad you feel comfortable enough here to share that with us. To me, that really is a big step.

Hi, Dave.
It's this 69 year young guy in Germany. I chose to use my real name because it's the only thing that completely belongs to me. My mother took my childhood , identenity, (sp), my innocense away along with a friend of the family and some total strangers. It's the only thing that's left. Heal well my friend.
