I was journaling last night about the past just writing down whatever came to my mind. At the end I wrote about a door that was locked, like an old dungeon door. Then there was something about three knocks and a knife? I don't know, it was dark and disturbing. There seems to be a lot of triggering dark emotions behind this closed door. There's more I would write, but I am afraid of triggering someone out there so I'm keeping it nice.

Lance, doors are entries into places we don't see until we open them. What do you mean by "dark emotions?"

"I finally have my heart!"

To the perps: Don't worry about me coming after you. But you damn well better watch out for God! "Vengeance is mine", saith the Lord

Hey, Lance,

Doors are locked for several reasons, uh? Sometimes to keep things in, sometimes to keep things out...sometimes for both.

When ever you are is yours.

Lance if you're concerned about a trigger you can put a trigger notice in your title - edit the first post you made and then add your trigger warning to the title.

That said, if you have something in your journal that's triggering for you, it might be of benefit to bounce it off a therapist in private because you won't have to edit out the nasty stuff.

I can say unequivocally that the lie of "To truly heal you must first forgive" has derailed more victims than the abusers themselves.
