I had another, amongst several in the past few years, bowel movement and before i even had a chance as i removed my pants there was feces in my underwear and i was horrified.

I'm so fed up with "issues" surfacing when it comes to being molested,i had a physical from my doctor about 6 months ago and he told me i have an enlarged prostrate(although i told him i was sexually abused as a kid) and i explained this recurring problem and it's humiliating me now.

I'm not sure, but damn sure convinced,if i was sodimized as a kid however as far back as i can remember i have always had problems with my rearend(for lack of a better term and shame based thoughts) and now i'm ready to just give up....i take at least 2 showers a day and i never feel clean enough not to mention when i have episodes of what i call "oozing"....and it's getting fuckin old point is what can i do, i'm fed up with all the issues i'm forced to deal with EVERYFUCKINGDAY.....little feedback and/or perspective if anyone has had this or similiar problems can help, with my frustration and why this happens at all..could this simply be that my prostrate gland is this way as a result of age or is it that i was / was not this point your guess is as good as mine.

Hey Coop,
Honestly I am at a loss how to respond in a concrete way. However, I think whatever you experience and how you feel are legitimate. Two things come to mind; First an enlarged prostate may be a normal age appropriate issue if you are around 50 years old. That is in NO WAY trying to minimize your own reality. I am fairly certain, I would feel humiliated for a number of reasons over what you describe. It is very personal. You may have a maladaptive bowel issue which may or may not be linked to past trauma. I am no expert. I might see my primary physician to seek a medical opinion and possible referral to a proctologist or even gastrointestinal specialist. There may indeed be a medical issue that requires review. Someone may recognize or diagnose a problem which hopefully can be corrected.

It may be psychologically stressful for you but professionals in the health field see and treat many things without a reaction and may be very empathic toward you. So I hope.

My second thought is after seeking medical consults if the issue is not resolved you may need to see a qualified mental health specialist in your area who can recommend the best course of treatment to address the unclear past. In any event, thank you for sharing your story about this. I cannot imagine how hard this might be and yet I like so many here... we do understand the hell and pain involved in exposing ourselves in this sacred place of healing. In the interim, you might look on line or see a pharmacist to see if there is any type of simple insert that you might use to absorb any accidental event. I am not sure I have helped but I will watch future posts and hope you get this resolved.

In Peace,

I'm not a doctor Coop but the fact that you've had it all your life is another piece of the puzzle. Enlarged prostrate or no, wouldn't you think sodomy/abuse would help that kind of problem along?

I can say unequivocally that the lie of "To truly heal you must first forgive" has derailed more victims than the abusers themselves.

My experiences started at three years old...I just realized a year or so ago that the symptoms you are describing are not "normal." I thought they were. Right up until another male survivor had the courage to ask me about his own experiences.

While I am not saying that is what is going on for you...the symptoms, as you describe them, are similiar. And, yea, it is frustrating to be sure.

He elected to have surgery to correct the problem. The surgery was sucessful and brought him a huge amount of relief.

Hope that helps.

There can be a number of medical issues as we age. I had a couple of intestinal viral infections that I had to take strong antibiotics for lately, plus several instances of food poisoning over time which have caused the same problem. It would be helpful to know an age range. I am in my early 50s. How about hemmorhoids (sp?)? That is a swelling of rectal and anal tissues that constrict the outflow and may cause runniness or blood in the stool. It is a problem treatable OTC with Prep-H. Or look at the prostate issue.

See your doctor and ask a few questions or copy and paste this to Word and take this with you.

I'm with the other guys on this one. BPH (or enlarged prostate) is common among male survivors of rape according to my urologist. There is also something called prostatitis that can be contributing to the oozing. This requires very careful coordination between urology, mental health, and possibly a GI specialist. PM me if you feel the need to ask questions, as I have a very good urologist and GI doc. I don't like to leave details about things like this on the boards as some people might not like to read about it.
