the path i walk has taken me some places that i did not choose to go,
it has led me through happiness and joy,
and it has shown me hurt and grief,
some times it has been easy to walk,
but it has also been a treacherous road.

the path has shown me who and what i will become,
i have looked at other paths long enough to know that
i will not venture down them, i will walk my own path,
even though it is a difficult one at times.

it is the path i have forged, and even though there are some
unfortunate events that have happened along its course.
i would not change a thing, for i would not be the man i am today.

as i reach an important time in my journey, i look back on the winding
road i have travelled, many things have brought me here,
i now stand at a crossroads which way i go will change my
life forever, the funny thing this time is the choice is so clear to me,
but the direction i go this time is not to be determined not only by myself,
my fate lies also in the hands of another,
and the path i will walk from here on, is partially up to them,
i just hope they can see their choice as clearly as i do.

Love heals everything

I too hope the others see the importance of the choices before them, but if you see your own choice clearly I also hope you will stick to it. You owe yourself that.

I'm sure you know Robert Frost's poem The Road Not Taken. Your poem reminds me of his in so many ways.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)
