Night; fickel friend uncertain lover,
through revealing dark discover,
pain or warmth when day is over,
How can I tell.

Sleep; Ride the midnight train uncertain,
Read the dreaming page unwritten,
Tangled thoughts and sounds unbidden,
I know them well.

fire; friend beside me here your blazing,
Lights the distant path I'm tracing,
shaddows cruel or close embracing,
Adds to the spell.

Light; small confined you burn unheeding,
Into black forever bleeding,
In a lamp or spark receeding,
Within night's well.

Water; new your song forever changing,
do you speak of rearranging?
unlike light you know no fading,
Just like myself.

time; so long you slowly spun out tears,
Caring nothing for my fears,
ringing silence filled your ears,
Are you stil deaf?

Pain; So long you walked through doors left open,
You curled asleep in dreams unbroken,
will you now leave that you've awoken?
is this your death?

Shadow; Here in safety I can see you,
Now no longer will I flee you,
Even though you know I fear you,
sinse you are myself.

From night healing,
from sleep, peace,
From fire; revealing,
From light, an increase.

from water; a returning,
from time; understanding,
from pain; learning,
From shadow; an ending.

I was wondering how you would pull all this together - really nice! So much to think about, especially (for me) the stanza on shadow.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
