Memories of the time i held you close
memories of a time when you held me close
Just holding each other fighting the surrounding fear
Saying the words of comfort to stop the pain and tears
Trust enfolded in those warm arms
Whatever fears and pain i suffered your arms washed away
In the dark your touch brings the light
You watched over me and held me from the storm inside
I tried to watch over you and hold you close
My arms enfolded you but i had no strength to keep you near
I pleaded and cursed but you slipped from my arms
I cried till i lost all sight
I shouted till my voice was silent
I ached till i was numb
You left but stayed locked in time
Never to age but never to live

I was not strong enough
You slipped from me but took my heart
I still hold you in my past arms
never letting go
Never losing my grip on you

Always wishing for the second chance

I think you're doing the right thing by acknowledging your feelings about Andrew and what happened years ago. Our feelings may need to be examined, since so many times they are dominated by a lot of bad and false ideas about ourselves. But they are OUR feelings, and that's where healing has to start.

Much love,

Nobody living can ever stop me
As I go walking my freedom highway.
Nobody living can make me turn back:
This land was made for you and me.
(Woody Guthrie)

Ben, I agree with Larry but also we can get stuck in a moment, in a time, in an experience and with a special someone we knew and lost. We can become trapped and unable to face reality and when reality becomes harsh or confusion it is so easy to retreat into the past and want to stay there.

It is healthy to get the feelings out and express them and really feel them. It is not healthy to retreat permenantly and seek to remain there. Don't ask me how I know this but I will agree with you whole heartedly that it is very painful to let go and move on. Very painful. So take your time stay as long as is safe.

Love ya lots

I feel so lost everything is seeping away and failing, i find myself back in the past at that moment and i ache with the wish to stay there, but i end up coming back to the real world.

Memories are calling me and i so want to go and emerse myself in his arms and stay there.

Sorry and thankyou friend and Larry.
